Legal Biography:
When you hire the Law Firm of Vincent Scala, you will often work with Angelo Santana.
Angelo grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. He is a 47-year-old devoted father and grandfather. He was born in the US to Dominican parents and speaks fluent Spanish. He met Vincent somewhere around 1993 and has been working with him ever since.
Angelo does virtually everything short of making court appearances, conducting hearings or trial. He interviews families and gets up to speed on what is necessary to successfully represent clients. He does virtually all the office "intake." He learns the docket number, inmate number (if applicable), county of arrest, charges and defendant's background. He reviews discovery on all our cases. He brainstorms with Vincent on strategy and on the wishes of the defendant and his family.
Angelo calms down defendants and their loved ones. He has absorbed 95% of what is involved with criminal defense. He is in some respects a lawyer without the license. He organizes cases, goes to crime scenes, reviews reports, photographs and other evidence with Vincent. He basically runs the office on a day-to-day basis.
